Meyer states that he wrote this book for general readers and I would agree.  His description of the Tudor rulers is a fun and easy read.  The book goes through each ruler chronologically with some overlap with each.  There are also brief sections that give background of that period.  Henry VIII and Elizabeth I get the most attention which is understandable since they both ruled the longest.  The information given gives a great overview, but I did feel he focused heavily on the negative aspects of these rulers (not that the negative comments were incorrect).  Overall, I think this is a great introduction to the Tudor dynasty.
